I want to be your State Representative from the 131st Legislative District in Missouri.

The 131st District starts in southwestern McDonald County, traverses eastern McDonald County and Newton County and takes in a portion of northwestern Newton County. It does not include Anderson, Goodman and Neosho, Missouri.

The people I would represent come from all walks of life. However, all of us have a common interest in good schools and good communities in which to live.

I believe my background and experience will aid me in representing you in the state legislature. I am a mother and a grandmother and have lived in your district 32 years. I’ve been a military wife, lived in various locations in the United States, and I know the problems that communities must face and deal with which require good and progressive government.

My husband and I have lived on a cattle ranch since 1972: I have worked in the newspaper business, served on the board of directors of several corporations and owned and operated three businesses. Currently I own and operate Bell Starr Realty, LLC. in Pineville, Missouri.

I have been around the law all of my adult life with three lawyers in my family and my son, who is Sheriff of McDonald County. There are a number of teachers in my family, including my daughter, Holly Boyer, who will graduate this fall from Missouri Southern State University with a teaching degree.

As a real estate broker and salesperson I have seen first hand the tremendous growth in our area and the need for good public schools for our children
